Why and What should a Genuine Christian Blog?

Why and What should a Genuine Christian Blog?Blogging started as an online journal and now “everyone is blogging”. People blog, companies blog, and even bots blog – people write some programs that “automatically blog”. What once used to be a personal diary or online journal now it has been commercialized and even trivialized.

However, there’s a great value to blogging, and even though there are many blog posts out there entitled, “Why should a Christian blog?” here is my feeling on this subject.

Why should a Genuine Christian Blog?

First of all, what is a “genuine Christian”? The disciples of Christ were given this nickname as a contempt by the other people in Antioch (Acts 11:26); they were labelled as “followers of Christ”, or Christ-ians. Since then there were many who either are called by others or call themselves “Christians”.

A genuine Christian is a man or a woman who has received the Lord Jesus into his/her heart and who loves the Lord, enjoys Him, spends time with Him, grows in life, meets with other believers to be built up into the Body of Christ, and earnestly desires for the Lord Jesus to return. If you are such a one, then you are a genuine Christian.

So, why should a genuine Christian blog? Many people say, “If you believe in God and love God, you should keep it personal – don’t be public about it and don’t force it on others!” I have been told such a thing by someone who considered himself a Christian.

But then I did a search on google for, let’s say, the new Nexus 9 from google – and lo and behold, there are hundreds of people writing about this product even though they never saw it, touched it, or played with it. Basically, they write about something they never subjectively experienced.

Why would people write about such trivial things – and in such high volumes – and yet we won’t write about the Lord Jesus, the One we love? As genuine Christians we have touched the Lord, we have been touched by Him, we love Him, we enjoy Him, we love to read His word, and we love to meet with the fellow Christians. Why should we not testify about this?

Why allow so much “hot air”, bad news, and all that nonsense be published online – and we even “eat that garbage” by reading it – yet we don’t testify of our love for the Lord?

The main reason a genuine Christian should blog is because, if he is born again and enjoys Christ, he actually has something to say. Most of the blogging and writing out there is nonsense, stuff that in 1 year is completely out of date, hot air, words upon words, opinions (which change with time), and basically vanity of vanities.

There’s so much said about the things in the world, be it sports, cars, gadgets, etc, but what about speaking THE WORD, that is, speaking Christ? Christ Himself is the Word of God; He is the definition of God, the explanation of God (see John 1:1, 14), and this One is in us. If there’s something to be said and written on a blog, then it is the genuine Christians that can and should speak and write.

We actually have something to say, and it’s not our “feelings” or “opinions” or even “doctrines”; we have Christ, and Christ is being wrought into us and constituted into our being day by day as we enjoy Him and experience Him. And this Christ wants to just FLOW OUT – why won’t we let Him flow? Why wouldn’t we be those who have the tongue as the pen of a ready writer, ready to write our love for Him?

There are many other reasons why genuine Christians should blog, but the most important one is: use blogging for God’s sake. You may not be able to create a website, but you can blog and share your enjoyment and experience of Christ, and the earth will slowly be filled with the knowledge of God.

God needs ambassadors; He needs people like Peter and Paul who would speak and write His word. He needs some genuine Christians – maybe not ALL, but at least some – who would be willing to deny themselves and stand for God in this generation. God needs some genuine Christians who would just overflow with their enjoyment of Christ and would cut straight the word of the truth, being an anti-testimony to the polluted and degraded Christianity and corrupt and evil generation today.

What should a Genuine Christian Blog about?

When it comes to blogging, it is so easy to “blog about what you want”, that is, write about your experiences, what you learn from the Bible, your sufferings, etc. But what “I feel that a Christian should blog about” may NOT be what the Lord wants.

What does the Lord wants to flow out in words? Does He want to lower down the high gospel in the New Testament to your small experience? Does God really want you to establish your own ministry and grow the number of your followers? Does God really want to teach us concerning how to behave, how to raise up our children, how to choose right from wrong, etc?

A genuine Christian blogger should seek the Lord’s heart and be one with the Lord as he writes. Only what a blogger writes when he’s one with Christ is what matters. There are thousands of Christian bloggers, but so many write what they want, what they like, and what they think. Many water down the gospel and talk about worldly things.

Who would pay the price to write something in oneness with God, based upon the word of God and according to God’s economy which is in faith? Who would learn to deny himself to such an extent? Who learns to take up the cross (not merely write about taking up the cross) and follow the Lord, speaking His words, exercising his spirit in oneness with the Lord as the Spirit, and uttering words that convey not “Bible knowledge” but Christ Himself?

Who would be willing to get into the word of God, dive into the ministry of the apostles, be one with Christ as the Head, be in fellowship with the fellow members, live a normal Christian life and church life under the divine dispensing, and just flow out something of his enjoyment and experience of Christ?

It seems that I’m not explicitly saying what should a genuine Christian blog about but rather ask questions. It is good to check with yourself, if you’re burdened to blog something:

Lord, what about my blogging? Do I express You, or do I just express myself and show others how much I know and experience? Lord Jesus, do You get all the glory or do I seek a following and recognition? Lord, are these Your words or are they worldly expression and thoughts which I use “for God’s glory”? Lord Jesus, is this You as the Word of God being expressed through me, or do I just write because I have to write and I want to write? Is this blog post, this article, or this review something that leads others into Your enjoyment and Your experience?

With questions and prayers such as these as a basis, here are some things that I think that genuine Christians can and should blog about:

  • Testify of their enjoyment of Christ. Not of how much they read or what Christian author they appreciate, but their enjoyment of Christ. This means that they have to enjoy the Lord, spend time with Him, be filled with Him, and then overflow something out. Example: see this article.
  • Testify of their enjoyment in the church life. The church life is glorious; it is here that we have a foretaste of the New Jerusalem. Where are the genuine testimonies of experiencing Christ in the church life as the Body of Christ? Where are the divine and mystical experiences of Christ that lead to the building up of the Body of Christ consummating in the New Jerusalem? Who pays the price to seek the Lord for such experiences, and who can testify a little of this? Examples: see this website.
  • Praying, singing, and psalming – if we enjoy the Lord, there’s much prayers, praises, singing, and psalming, both in our heart and as an overflow in writing. If we enjoy THE WORD of God in the church as the pillar and base of the truth, there’s a new song being composed, there are prayers as active responses to the Lord’s speaking, and there is singing with psalming. Who utters genuine prayers of being one with Christ to respond to His word in the Bible? Who allows the word of Christ to dwell in him so richly that there’s a song coming out as a crystallization and overflow of his enjoyment? Example: see hymnal.net.
  • Cutting straight the word of the truth. Not just doctrines, not merely blogging the word of God (which is very good – quoting the Scriptures is excellent!), but writing under the divine light as those who are governed by the vision of God’s economy and are saturated by the Holy Word of God. Who knows what the ministry of the apostles is? Who is one with the unique and genuine ministry in the New Testament and cuts straight the word of the truth by writing truth-filled blog posts that both help you grow in life and give you nuggets of the gold from the word of God? Who speaks of God’s economy and ministers not merely letters but life?
  • Christ-filled and Spirit-filled multimedia like: pictures, videos, singing, etc. Who takes pictures and edits them to post God’s word and God’s economy with quotes from the Bible or from the ministry of the age to edify the reader? We need more multimedia that is not about the quality of the video or the sound but they minister Christ into the listener. We need more new Scripture songs, more new hymns that are filled with enjoyment, truth, and life. Example: see this website.

…and the list goes on. Who would pay such a price? Where will the Lord gain a people who would deny themselves both in their daily life and in their online life to the extent that Christ is manifested through them, whether through their daily living or through their blogging?

Recovery Version Bible: Why I Love it and How I came to Know It

Recovery Version New Testament is available FOR FREE! [in the picture: the Holy Bible, Recovery Version]There are many versions of the Bible Recovery Version Bible is one of the latest one – and if you’re a seeking believer, you will do a lot of research and study of the word of God. I was born in Romania, and as I grew up my parents instilled in me a love for the Bible. They even tell me that when I was five-six years old they would find me in the morning at 6-7 am reading my small printed Bible, which I treasured.

I loved the stories in the Bible, the history, the psalms, the law of God, and most of all, the New Testament. I mean, in what other book can you find a definition and explanation of such an amazing God? Even when man sinned and went far away from God, He still loved man and did everything to gain man back to Him. It’s amazing how Abraham was called by God and how God chose Israel to be His people, and how throughout the centuries there has been a lot of problems in their relationship – yet God still loved them!

And then, in the New Testament, you see so much more: God chose some who were not Jews to be His people, the church! Wow! In the Gospels we see that God became a man, lived a perfect human life on earth, died an all-inclusive death on the cross, resurrected, and then ascended to the heavens. Then, He came as the life-giving Spirit and He regenerates many believers for His Body, His expression on the earth. Now God has a spiritual people, the church, which are His chosen ones…Wow, I just love the Bible!

The Many Translations of the Bible

Coming back to the text of the Bible and my experience. As I grew up I read many versions of the Bible (in Romanian we had 3 or 4), and I loved to see what's the difference [in the picture: Biblia, traducerea Cornilescu]Coming back to the text of the Bible and my experience. As I grew up I read many versions of the Bible (in Romanian we had 3 or 4), and I loved to see what’s the difference. The newer a translation was, the more you got out of the text. Then, after I learned English and got in touch with people in the English-speaking world, I got to have a few versions of the Bible.

I got a King James version, a New King James version, a New International Version, a Darby Version, etc. And then I got a Palm and later a Pocket PC, and with e-sword I managed to get as many as 30-40 versions of the Bible, including the Greek New Testament, an interlinear (Greek-English, printed copy), the Vulgata, French versions, etc.

The meanings of the words in Greek are so much richer than English or even Romanian can express, so I had a friend who would sometimes explain the meaning of a word like “spirit” (pneuma in Gk), and I just loved the Lord and the word much more! I really appreciate all the versions of the Bible, and I wouldn’t insist on a certain version being better than another one.

Until I got my hands on a very precious Recovery Version of the New Testament, sometimes in the early 2000’s. Wow, when I started reading the text, first of all I understood it – it’s plain, simple, in good English! Then there are footnotes, and sometimes the footnotes are even longer than the verses – they really go deeper into the meaning of the Word of God in the light of God’s plan, His economy. I have never loved the Word of God so much as from the time I got a Holy Bible Recovery Version!

Recovery Version Bible: Why I love it

Recovery Version Bible: Why I love it [in the picture: the New Testament, Recovery Version]I love the Lord, and I love His Word. Yet many times, no matter how much I love the Lord and even “how smart I am”, I just can’t get certain meanings or connections between verses and chapters in the Bible. I need help. I need someone to kind of point the way and give me a deeper meaning. I read books by C.H. Mackintosh, J. N. Darby, Charles Spurgeon, Hudson Taylor, Andrew Murray, and many other spiritual writers, including Watchman Nee, Oswald Chambers, Madame Guyon, Witness Lee, etc.

The riches the Lord brought to light through all these dear saints throughout the ages are simply amazing! Some are easy to read, others are hard to understand, while even others need you to have a dictionary with you all the time. However, when I started reading the footnotes in the Recovery Version, I simply understood the meaning of the text (first of all) and then I was brought into a deeper appreciation of the Bible and a sweeter love for the Lord!

Here are some things that I really love about the Recovery Version:

The Outline of the Recovery Version – Each book of the Bible has a subject, which encapsulates the meaning and essence of the book, and there’s an outline which gives you a sense of what the book, the chapters, and the verses talk about. Many times I thought that the miracles performed by the Lord are “randomly arranged” in the different Gospels – but just read the outline, you will see the big picture!

Recovery Version Footnotes – they are SO RICH! So deep. So sweet. So enlightening. I have no words to describe some of these notes. They not only give you the literal translation of some words (sometimes), the meaning of the verse, or the context of that verse – they bring you into a deeper appreciation of God, His economy, and His Word. Many times I read a verse and then the footnote and I just said, AMEN! I love You, Lord! (I’ll give some examples later; see some here)

The Cross-References – it is good to have cross references to similar passages in the Bible, and it is even better to have references to verses that express the same burden, principle, or meaning.

The Readability of the Recovery Version – It is so easy to read the text, so clear to understand, and so good to get a richer meaning of the Bible! The up-to-date expressions, language, and writing, including the elevated language of the footnotes gives you the impression that you read a commentary on the Bible and yet you understand it perfectly and you have an Amen! in your being.

The riches brought out by the Recovery Version – I personally recommend the following footnotes for your prayerful reading: Acts 2:21 (the note on calling on the name of the Lord), 2 Cor. 13:14 (footnote on the Triune God), John 3:16 (footnote on, believing INTO Him), 1 Cor. 15:45 (note on, life-giving Spirit), Matt. 1:1 (and note on Jesus, the first and last name of the Bible), John 1:14 (the note on God – the Word – becoming flesh), Matt. 26:8 (note on why this Waste?), 2 Cor. 3:18 (footnote 11, on the Lord Spirit), etc.

The thorough analysis and deeper study of certain terms – do you know how many kinds of Greek words are there for LIFE? (hint: zoe, psuche, and bios – divine, psychological, and biological) How many kinds of love are there in John 21? (more than 1!) What is the real meaning and how many places in the Bible the word TRUTH is used? There are so many word studies in the Recovery Version, that you will “feel like a scholar” while at the same time love the Lord more! It’s quite cool when you not only understand the Word but are also brought into an appreciation of God and His plan…

The charts – there are some very good charts like the one explaining the genealogy of the Lord’s ancestors, the chart of the Kingdom of God and the Kingdom of the Heavens, etc. They require many verses and much study to fully comprehend…

The spirit of the translator and of the ones who wrote the footnotes in the Recovery Version. It is not only the development of a language, the new meanings of certain words, or the more accurate translation possible that should be the base of a new version of the Bible. It is the increase of the Lord’s light, the advance of the divine revelation, and the accumulation of the divine truth released to God’s people, including the pure spirit of the translators and compilers that make the Recovery Version a great translation with excellent footnotes!

Brother Witness Lee had inherited so much from brother Watchman Nee, and he released many messages and compiled many footnotes for the Bible Recovery Version – and today we can benefit from all his labor in the Lord!

The Recovery Version is now available FOR FREE!

Recovery Version Bible: Why I Love it and How I came to Know It [in the picture: the Holy Bible Recovery Version]For most Bibles you need to pay, and when I got all my Bibles I had to pay for them – yes, even though I was in Romania, I still had to pay for my Romanian and for most of my English Bibles. And I had to pay for my first Recovery Version of the New Testament – in those days it was available only for sale. But recently the Lord has put on the heart of many believers in Christ to make this “gold bar”, this solid New Testament Recovery Version with rich footnotes, available for FREE for all those who speak English!

So if you’re in England, New Zealand, Australia, Canada, USA, or other English-speaking country, you can get a free New Testament Recovery Version. You can just order it online! On the one hand all the good things in life are free, on the other hand all the precious things in life cost a lot. Getting a Recovery Version Bible will not “bring you closer to God” if you don’t pay the price to read through it and prayerfully consider both the text and the footnotes.

It is only God who gives the growth, but we can cooperate with Him by opening to Him, turning our heart to Him, and reading His Word in a prayerful way. I personally warmly recommend the Recovery Version of the Bible – which you can also read online via online.recoveryversion.org!

I’m Looking Forward to the Christian Students Conference in Wales!

I'm Looking Forward to the Christian Students Conference in Wales! [in the picture: some of the Christian students at the conference in Wales in 2011]This coming weekend there’s the 2013 Spring College Age Students Conference in Wales, and I am very much looking forward to it!

As you have guessed, I am NOT a student anymore – that is, I don’t attend an university these days. This doesn’t mean I’m not a student-at-heart, studying especially the Bible, lots of spiritual books, the footnotes in the Recovery Version, and also many things related to my job.

But at the same time, I am happy to meet with some of the Christian Students in London, especially around the areas of Greenwich, Central London, Kingston, East London, North London, and Uxbridge. Since I’m not a student anymore, you may ask me,

Why are You Going to a Students Conference?

That’s a fair question. I am close to a decade older to most of the students who will be there, and I finished school a while ago… so why am I still going to a Christian Students conference?

Well, first of all, age doesn’t matter when it comes to being a Christian – you can be older than others physically and yet much younger in spirit, fresh with the Lord, and daily being renewed. Believe me, there’s a brother in our students group meeting who is over 80 years old, but he is definitely much younger in spirit and more fresh than us all, loving the Lord so much!

Second of all, I think I see something concerning what God is doing today especially in Europe, something related to the young generation. There’s something particular in His heart for the generation of students today, the young ones who are either lured into all kinds of destructive things by the enemy through the world, or they are useful vessels in God’s hands as human beings filled with God to express Him.

God Wants to Gain Many Christian Students!

I now live in England, UK, the country that for centuries has sent thousands of missionaries and believers everywhere in the world to bring the gospel to the remotest parts of the earth. What was so special about these ones was that they loved the Lord, they didn’t care for themselves but for God’s interest, and they gave themselves to God from their youth!

In this country today God desires to gain many thousands like them, many who care for God’s interest and who love Him to the uttermost. When we see that God’s heart is beating for the students today, that they may fall in love with Him and be crazy lovers of Jesus on all the campuses in England… what can you do?

I can’t resist Him but I just want to cooperate with Him to gain such ones. God desires to gain many real Christian students in all the campuses in England and everywhere in Europe. I believe that these ones have the chance to rise up today and be absolute for Him to bring Him back.

Pray for This Coming Weekend!

A Christian Students conference doesn't mean a camp for students to go for a weekend, where they listen to good sermons and have some fun activities, they are well-fed and there's lots of cool games. [in the picture: some of the Christian students at the college age conference in Wales 2011]A Christian Students conference doesn’t mean a camp for students to go for a weekend, where they listen to good sermons and have some fun activities, they are well-fed and there’s lots of cool games.

No, sir! Times are changing. Students are picking up the burden to pray for this time. They rise up to learn to coordinate. Christian students testify in the meetings concerning their experience of Christ. They take the lead to enjoy the Lord, call on His name, pray in groups, have Bible studies together, sing during the break, fellowship with one another, and so many organic life-practices in the Lord.

Pray for this. Pray for many students, especially for many young ones, to learn to function in their measure, to learn to speak Christ in the meeting and with their friends, and to learn to convert the friendship into companionship.

Pray for the speaking brothers, for the students who serve with all the practical things and with singing and sharing, and for all the things related to this time.

Wales, Here We Come!

By train, by plane, by van, and by bus, a little over 200 Christian students and believers will get together this coming weekend in Wales to enjoy Christ especially in His third stage, the stage of intensification. Due to the degradation of the church today Christ has been intensified to become the sevenfold intensified life-giving Spirit – so that He may produce the overcomers in the churches!

Wow, what a privilege to go to Wales, somewhere close to Newtown Powys, among the hills and the sheep and the cold winds, and hear something regarding God’s desire to gain overcomers! God is intensifying His organic salvation today to overcome the age, the degradation, the devil, and everything, so that the many young God-men students would be produced as the many overcomers in all the campuses in England, France, Netherlands, Spain, Germany, Portugal, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Ireland, Scotland, Italy, Greece, and all other countries in Europe!

What a privilege we have to PRAY for this time, to join ourselves to God in His desire and say,

DO IT, Lord! Obtain the overcomers from among the young generation today! Gain many God-men on all the campuses in Europe! Gain those absolute for You! Intensify Your organic salvation in all the Christian Students that they may be produced as the overcomers today! Make these ones those who bring You back!

I Love the Lord’s Table Meeting in Oneness in the Body!

Yesterday it was Sunday, that is, the Lord’s Day – it’s NOT the day of the Sun, but the Lord’s day! Every Lord’s day – the first day of the week – we gather together, according to the pattern of the early believers, to remember the Lord at the Lord’s Table Meeting, the Lord’s supper.

I don’t know what is your experience of this, but I can testify with all my heart that, no matter where I am in the world, I am so happy to meet with the saints in one accord and remember the Lord in oneness in the Body of Christ!

Whether in London (UK), Montreal (Canada), New York (USA), Taipei (Taiwan), Bucharest (Romania), Warsaw (Poland), Charlotte (NC, USA), Malaga (Spain), Porto (Portugal), Athens (Greece), Bratislava (Slovakia), Coventry (UK), or any other locality, we can meet on the ground of oneness and enjoy the Lord at the Lord’s table meeting with all the saints!

God Chose a Specific Place For His People to Worship Him

In the Old Testament God chose a specific city and a specific place where His people would worship Him – Jerusalem. In the New Testament also God chose a specific place where He would be worshiped – in the spirit (John 4:24), in oneness with the Body of Christ. Many Christians today gather “under many trees”, “in the place of their choice”, and in a certain other name than the Lord’s…

I am glad to be brought back, little by little, to the original intention of God – one city, one church (in oneness with all the Body of Christ). God doesn’t allow people the ground to choose the place where they meet – it’s in the local church, in the spirit!

Otherwise, just as we see in Nehemiah and Ezra, most of the Jews remained in Babylon and in the other countries, they never returned to Jerusalem – yet they are still God’s people, still meet in synagogues, still read the Torah… Today there are many more genuine Jews outside the country of Israel, but some paid the price to go and move and live in the land of Immanuel… The Jews in Israel may be much poorer than the Jews in New York, nevertheless if God wants to do something among His earthly people, the ones in Israel are on the proper ground.

As long as we are in the place God desires us to be in today to worship Him, we will have His presence, His blessing, and His up-to-date speaking.

Size Doesn’t Matter – the Oneness Does!

I Love the Lord's Table Meeting in Oneness in the Body! In the picture: Lord's Table Meeting, a larger gatheringThe size of the Lord’s Table meeting doesn’t matter – as long as we gather together on the genuine ground of the oneness in the Body of Christ. I have been in meetings of a few hundred saints, and I have been in gatherings of 20 or so believers, and in both settings there was the sweet oneness, the genuine one accord, and the Lord’s presence was with us!

What matters is to be in oneness with all the believers as the members of Christ’s Body in the locality we meet, and in oneness with all the Body of Christ by being in a regular fellowship with other local churches!

This past Lord’s Day, though we were only a few of us, we were enjoying the Lord as our Host presiding at the Table, giving us to eat and to drink (see: How Glorious is Your Table, Lord! Hymns #1112). How wonderful to be one with all the saints, in the Body of Christ, and enjoy Christ as the bread of life and as the cup of salvation!

How delightful to drink of Him as the One who was pierced for us and to eat of His Body broken for us! How satisfying to worship the Father by praising Him and offering Christ to Him through our praises and prayers! Oh, the feeling of the Father being happy in us!

Eating and Drinking Until the Lord Returns!

I Love the Lord's Table Meeting in Oneness in the Body! In the picture: Lord's Table Meeting, a smaller gatheringOur Christian life on earth is a life of eating the Lord and drinking Him until He returns – and then, He will drink and eat with us anew in His kingdom (Matt. 26:29)! To eat the Lord is to overcome, and as overcomers we will be rewarded with more eating of the tree of life (Rev. 2:7; 22:14). We are destined to just eat of the Lord as the tree of life and drink of Him as the river of water of life for eternity (see the New Jerusalem, Rev. 22:1-4).

This is what the church life is today – eating, drinking, and breathing Jesus, on the genuine ground of oneness – in the mingled spirit and in the Body of Christ! And when we meet with other believers, we continue to eat the Lord and drink Him in spirit, mutually edifying one another through speaking, singing, reading, and much fellowship!

This is what we do when we get together every first day of the week – we eat the Lord, we drink Him, and we testify to the whole universe that by eating and drinking Him in oneness we express Him in the universe as His unique Body! We stand as one in each locality for all to see  (see hymn, There is one Body in this universe, Hymns #1107)!

I love the church life. I love the local churches, the procedure for God to obtain His overcomers and build up His Body on earth today! I love the Lord’s table meeting, where we enjoy the Lord, remember Him in love, eat and drink of Him, praise Him, worship Him, and express our love to the Father for His Wonderful Son!

The Picture that Surprised All My Friends on Facebook

Don’t run away, this is not a scam, it’s a real story with a happy ending 🙂 It may not be the full story, but nonetheless you will enjoy it (I hope). It starts with me being a young man who loves the Lord, originally from Romania, living in London, UK.

I was (and still am) a full-time job-keeping serving one before the Lord and in my spirit (in the Body of Christ). I saw something concerning the Lord’s move being toward Western Europe, especially in England, so after graduating FTTL (Full Time Training in London) I remained in London with the saints here, working, meeting, serving, eating – drinking – and – breathing Jesus.

The church life was wonderful. I loved what I worked. Serving with the young people was challenging, fun, time-consuming, amazing, rewarding, and altogether a great experience with the Lord and in the Body.

Facebook and Pictures

You must read my article on, Is Your Being on Facebook a Waste of Time? The story in the current blog post is a bit before I came to these conclusions… I was on Facebook a LOT, posting at least one picture album with the church life per month 🙂 and sharing from my top enjoyment in the Word and in the ministry…

Oh, did I mention I was single? Yes, I lived in the brothers’ house for a while, then moved on my own… but I was still single. Still enjoying the church life. Still loving the Lord. Still working really hard and loving it.

But something was missing. Or more precisely, someone was missing. I felt the need. The saints felt it too, and so did many people around me…. I prayed for a spouse. The saints prayed for a spouse. The young people prayed for a wife for me. The whole Body was just praying for me… wow…

The Picture that Surprised Everyone!

And then, just like that, on a lovely spring day in March 2012 a little less than a year ago, I posted a picture on Facebook that shocked all my friends - me with a lovely Chinese girl who just said, YES (see on the left)! And then, just like that, on a lovely spring day in March 2012 a little less than a year ago, I posted a picture on Facebook that surprised all my friends – me with a lovely Chinese girl who just said, YES (see me with Rebecca on the left)! I have never seen so many likes on that picture in such a short time! In less than 1 week there were more than 600 likes. Oh, Lord…

But, woooow, back up a little! What happened in the meantime? Well… You can read part of our story via Stefan and Rebecca Wedding website 🙂 and you can visit us in London to find out more. What I can tell you is that the Lord is sovereign, and He used even Facebook to bring Rebecca and I together.

Facebook was the start, but we continued to pray, read the Bible, sing, pray-read, read the life-study, and lots of prayer and conversations via Skype, Viber, and other electronic means. Until it became clear to both of us that God Put Us Together For One Another. And that I love her and she loves me 🙂 and He prepared her for me, as He was preparing me for her.

Many things on her list of “this is what I want my husband to be like” were worked out / fulfilled in me, and secret details I asked the Lord about my future wife were absolutely fulfilled in her. The same heart for the Lord and for the saints, for the students, children, and young people. The same heart for the Lord’s move and His recovery. The same vision. And many other elements (more outward) and details we prayed for – He prepared us for one another.

It became clear to both us and to the saints around us, to our parents and the close friends, and to everyone else. And then… the announcement was made, the picture was posted on Facebook, and everyone was positively (hopefully) surprised! Now that’s a pleasant surprise to give your friends – being secretly and openly one with the Lord even in your search for your spouse!

Thank You Lord Jesus for Everything

Of course there’s much more to our story, and there’s even more being written daily as we are now married and live together in London 🙂 where I am again a job-keeping full-time serving one, learning to minister to the Lord and to His house together with my wife. All I can say is,

Thank You dear Lord for everything. You know best. You know the time, the month, the season, the weather, the ring, the parents, the saints, the elders, the situation, and all the arrangement.

All I can say, looking back, is that the Lord just loves us – and He wants what’s best for us. He provides what He considers as best for us. And He continues to provide what He considers to be the best environment and situations for us to enjoy Him, gain Him, and be constituted with Him.

On our side, we just need to be open. Are we open to be the Nazarites of today, those fully separated unto Him and consecrated to Him? Amen, Lord, in all kinds of circumstances, things, environments, and situations, keep us open to You for what You intend to do in us today!

What is in Your Heart Concerning Us, Lord?

This is the question of questions. This is our best cooperation:

Lord, whatever is in Your heart concerning us, do it. We just want to say Amen. Open Your heart to us. Really open us to what You want us to do. We just wanna be one with You.

It’s so good to have a companion together with which to call on the name of the Lord, pray together, labor together, pursue the Lord together, and strive to go on together.

May He have a way. We are really nothing – we may rather hinder Him when we “try to help God with our good intentions”. But as long as we are open, God will have a way. We don’t want “what we think we need” but what He knows we need. We just want His will to be done – as in the heavens, so also on earth, and so also in our life. Lord, one with You!

How was Your Morning Watch with the Lord Today?

Every morning we rise up a bit earlier to have a time with the Lord – just us and Him. You can call it, morning revival, or, morning watch. But the principle of living a normal Christian life is to rise up every morning a bit earlier and make sure you and the Lord have a personal, intimate, and sweet time together.

It may not work out every morning, but we strive toward this, and we daily learn to overcome the love for our sleep and for our bed. It is not a “super-amazing time with heavenly visions” every day, but we daily want to have a normal, regular, and intimate time with the Lord.

Touching the Lord Before the Sun is Up

The Lord has arranged for now that I have to wake up at 6AM or so, and especially these days I can catch the sunrise while traveling to go to work. I have heard of stories from people who say that it is amazing to see the sun “coming out of the sea” somewhere in Ireland, or get up on the mountain to watch the sunrise in Scotland…

I may not have those amazing experiences of watching the sunrise, but as sure as the earth is here and I am alive, the sun is faithful to rise up. Christ is the real sun, bringing the light of life in our life, and we need to rise up a bit earlier to enjoy Him before the sun is up!

Oh, to enjoy the Sun of righteousness with healing in His wings! To gain Him daily as the early morning Star! There’s something fresh, precious, sweet, and so good when you touch the Lord before the sun is up! He is more precious and more fresh in the morning than at any time during the day!

The Morning Watch may NOT Be Spectacular All the Time!

What I noticed in England concerning the sunrise is that it is NOT spectacular. It is normal. Day after day, the sun just rises and we have sunshine. Many times there are a lot of clouds (it’s England, remember?), while sometimes the sun rises and “the whole horizon burns”. Take a look at these pictures below 🙂

Sunrise in London, England - reminding us of our time with the Lord in the morning!

Amazing Morning Sunrise – close to Archway, North London

Sunrise in London, England - reminding us of our time with the Lord in the morning! The sky seems to be on Fire!

The sun is “burning the sky” as it comes up daily…

Sunrise in London, England - reminding us of our time with the Lord in the morning! Lovely Sunshine and Colorful Sky!

I took these pictures over 6 months, seeking every day to see how the sun rises… Many times we think our morning watch with the Lord should be like this: on fire, having visions and revelations, being amazing! We expect that we touch the Lord and we feel so comforted, so wonderful, so shepherded, and the whole day we stay “in that feeling”….

We have so many natural concepts and expectations concerning our time with the Lord in the morning. But how many times does this really happen in our experience? I think our experience looks mostly like this:

Sunrise in London, England - reminding us of our time with the Lord in the morning! Normal. Daily. The Sun is Up. We seek the Lord!

This is the picture I took today as I was waiting for the train in West Drayton. The sunrise today was NOT amazing, the sky was NOT on fire, and I could NOT even see the sun! But I was sure that the sun is there.

In our morning watch with the Lord, as we exercise our spirit to touch Him and be revived, as we confess our sins and dig away any dirt that His light exposes, we enjoy His presence and the shining of His face. Sometimes is really amazing. Most times it is normal, the clouds still need to be dealt with, but “the train is there” (see the picture) – the Lord is here with us, His presence is real to us, and He feeds us with Himself.

All we need to do is pay the price of denying the self to SET TIME aside, pray, fellowship with the Lord, communicate with Him, read His Word, and even sing. Just ask Him to shine on you. As sure as the earth and heavens are, Christ will shine on you, and He will bring in life. We receive our spiritual food and daily nourishment from His hand.

We just open to Him, spend time with Him, and allow Him to shine on us, speak to us, supply us, expose us, burn anything that’s not of Him in us, and even replace us with Himself. It’s a daily process.

Just as we grow normally humanly in the divine life, with nothing much spectacular happening from day to day, so we grow in life by touching the Lord and enjoying Him from day to day.

So, How Was Your Morning Time with the Lord Today?

And now I turn the question to you. If you made it through the reading of this blog post until now, please be honest and write a comment with your experience.

How was your morning watch with the Lord today? Is there something that touched you from the Word this morning? How did the Lord shine on you this morning?

Why Do We Serve with the Young People? What’s Our Vision?

Why Do We Serve with the Young People? What's Our Vision? This past Lord’s Day it was my turn to serve with the young people, and the lesson we were getting into was inspired from 1 Samuel chapter 1, something related to God’s calling and preparation of Samuel to be an age-turning young man.

As I was preparing I was really praying to the Lord concerning my vision and my burden when serving the young people:

Why do we serve with the young ones? Why do we need to have some special lessons just for them, from time to time? Why do we need to take care of the next generation? Is it just to “baby-sit” or preserve them, keep them, and help them to stay away from evil influences? Is it just to help them “understand the Bible” and the things of God?

It’s good to pray to the Lord about this. He needs to impress us with the importance and preciousness of the young people, so that we may see them even as He sees them, and we may treasure them as He does.

Why Do We Serve with the Young People?

There are young people’s camps, young people’s conferences, retreats, weekends out activities, young people’s meetings, etc. Why? Why do we have all these? Why do we need to serve the younger generation? In 1 Samuel 1 Hannah was desperate before the Lord to have a child, and she even vowed before Him – Lord, if You give me a son, I will give Him to You for Your service in the temple!

She identified her need with God’s need: she needed a son, and God needs young ones to be absolute for Him. This is why we serve the young people – God needs some young ones who are absolute for Him, some who are open to Him, clear concerning His desires, and cooperating with Him to end the age!

Samuel was one after God’s heart: he did not sin against God by not praying for Saul (even though he failed God), but rather prayed for him even when he didn’t deserve to be prayed for. God needs young people who are one with Him, those who are absolute for Him so that He may end this age and bring in the age of the kingdom!

The Young People – A Dispensational Instrument

For God to turn the age, He needs some who are fully one with Him, some visionaries, those who don’t care for their needs or situation but care more for God’s need and His heart’s desire. Throughout the Bible we see how God changed the age, ending one age and turning it to a different age for Him to operate in a new way in humanity. The young people are those who can really give themselves to a good cause once they see it – and when God gains them, there’s nothing that God cannot do through them!

I was recently pondering of some examples of how the young people have cooperated with God throughout history to change the age and to be a dispensational instrument in His hand…

  • Moses – was called by God when he was young, but he had to go through a 40-year process of transformation so that he may be qualified to change the age from the age of the slavery to the age of entering into the good land.
  • Joshua – always called “the young man who attended Moses”, he accompanied Moses on the mount to receive the law, and he was chosen by God to lead the people of Israel into the good land. He was a young man, and he was in great need of encouragement – in Joshua 1 we see that 3 times he’s encouraged with, Be strong and take courage, don’t be dismayed! He changed the age to the age of the enjoyment of the good land!
  • Samuel – so one with God in all he was and did, he changed the age from the age of the judges to the age of the kings by anointing David, a man after God’s heart, to be king over Israel.
  • David – called by God, a lover of God, a man after God’s heart, he loved God’s word and His purpose since he was young. He cared more for God not to be insulted by Goliath than for losing his own life. God used him greatly to establish the kingship.
  • Ezekiel, Jeremiah, Isaiah, and the prophets – they were all young men, and they yearned for God’s will to be done on earth and for His people to return to Him. They all identified themselves with God in His desire to recover His people back to Himself, and they were absolute for the Lord!
  • Daniel – a young man from Israel who was taken captive in Babylon, one who prayed for God to remember His promise to return the people of Israel back to their homeland. He was a man of preciousness, one who fought in prayer, and one who saw visions of God concerning the whole history of mankind and God’s economy.
  • John the Baptist – he was a young man when he consecrated himself to the Lord, and God used him to change the age from the prophets to introducing the Lord Jesus, the Messiah! He was radical – he saw that God hates the deadness in the old Jewish religion and he separated himself unto God, and put to death anything natural!
  • The Lord’s disciples – they were a bunch of young men who traveled with the Lord, who were natural and selfish, but who were transformed by the Lord in His apostles, those who changed the age to the age of the church!
  • Paul and Timothy – when they both started, they were young and zealous for the Lord. The Lord really used Paul to bring the gospel all the way through Asia to Europe. He could speak freely through Paul!
  • Our forerunners like John Wycliff (A.D. 1324-1384), John Huss (A.D. 1370-1415), Peter Cheltschizki (A.D. 1390-1452), United Brethren in Bohemia (A.D. 1457-1621), Kasper von Schwenckfeld (A.D. 1489-1561), they all were young men who gave their life for recovering bits and pieces of the truth that they saw in the Bible.
  • Madame Guyon (A.D. 1648-1717) – a young sister, loving the Lord very much, suffered greatly for the Lord, and experienced a strong inner life which issued from her communion with the Lord.
  • John Wesley (A.D. 1703-1791) and Charles Wesley (A.D. 1707-1788) along with George Whitefield, young men burning for the Lord and for the preaching of the gospel to the whole inhabited earth!
  • John Nelson Darby (A.D. 1800-1882) and the British Brethren – started as young men, they were smart British men whom the Lord captured in His word and they dove into the riches of the Bible, expounding on what the Lord revealed to them from His word.
  • Watchman Nee (1903 – 1952) was gained by the Lord when he was really young, and he was used greatly by the Lord to open up the Bible in its deeper truths in a further way for our daily experience. He learned many lessons from the previous generations, and he stood on the shoulders of those who were serious with the Lord in the line of His recovery in the past. He was 23 when he wrote The Spiritual Man, and he served the Lord full time for most of his life. “The Lord’s raising up of Watchman Nee in China was a big blow to the pride of many missionaries there” (source).
  • Witness Lee (1905 – 1997) was also gained by the Lord in his youth, and he consecrated his life and his future to the Lord from a young age. He was greatly used by the Lord in His recovery to open up the Bible book by book through the life-studies (and then the crystallization-studies). He worked together with Watchman Nee in the same flow of the Lord in China, and then was sent to Taiwan in 1950, where the Lord brought in a great revival through him. In 1962 the Lord lead Witness Lee to the USA, where he visited many believers, held many conferences, and established Living Stream Ministry. He was faithful to continue the ministry of Watchman Nee as part of the continuation of the unique ministry in the Bible, the one divine stream.

What About our Young People Today?

The Lord needs to raise up another generation of young people, some who may not be as big, as influential, and as capable as the ones above, but some who are “small potatoes” who love the Lord with all their heart. The Lord wants to raise up an army of young people who are absolute for Him, those who say AMEN! to His will today.

These ones are predestined and called by God to have the highest life on earth and they live for the highest purpose today, to bring the Lord back! They can be the generation who will bring the Lord back!

We can be those who consecrate ourselves to the Lord to be one with Him and speak something to them to prepare them, inspire them, constitute them, and make them these ones who bring the Lord back! We may feel that we are not qualified, that we have failed too much… but for their sake we consecrate ourselves to the Lord that He may produce them as the dispensational instrument who “know their God and take action”!

Not Another Wasted Generation…

Young People in England - not another wasted generation! If Satan manages to distract and ruin the young people – as it seems he is prevailingly doing all around the world – he will cause this generation of young people to be wasted. Where are the young people today? In England they either study really really hard, or they are on their computers and gadgets, or they do all kinds of stupid things with an evil attitude… The ones in the country side want to move to the big cities, and the ones in the big cities are caught up in all kinds of vices, gangs, terrible things, or just cultural activities.

But who cares for what’s on God’s heart? Where are the young people who burn for the Lord and are absolute for Him? The young people today don’t care for anything except entertainment, lusts, and worldly things…. Lord Jesus, may this NOT be yet another wasted generation!

The Preciousness of the Second Generation

We need to see the preciousness of the second generation and their value in God’s hand. At the end of this age, God wants to make a dispensational move, an age-turning move. For Him to do this, He MUST obtain a dispensational instrument, a generation of young people who are His overcomers in this age!

What a privilege it is to give ourselves to the Lord to be a part of those who prepare an age-turning dispensational instrument! We don’t just want to “keep and preserve” the young people, but we want to cooperate with the Lord to produce a generation BETTER than us, those who are truly His overcomers, those who bring Him back!

We need to have our view uplifted and strengthened, so that we may see what’s really going on and be those who are one with the Lord in this! These ones are so precious and instrumental in His hands!

I Love the Small Group Bible Studies in the Homes: Short and Sweet!

I Love the Small Group Bible Studies in the Homes: Short and Sweet! [an example of a home meeting with students and believers]Believe it or not, even though all the polls and reports and news say that England is becoming more atheistic or Muslim (rather than becoming more Christian), there are thousands of hungry-for-truth-seeking-ones in this country, and especially in London.

During the Olympic Games in London there was a massive Bible Distribution and there have been more than 70.000 New Testaments given out, with a response of approx. 60% people desiring to be further contacted for Bible studies. Wow, how about that!

What a privilege to live in this day, age, and country at this particular moment in time. All we have to do is be open to the Lord, and He will not only daily supply us but bring men like a flock, those who are hungry for the deeper truths in God’s word!

Small Group Bible Studies

These days we have been having a lot of fellowship, prayer, and eventually some visitation of the ones who request a Bible study in their home. I realize that in myself I am not qualified, but the Lord has “loaded us with His spiritual heavenly cargo” – God’s economy – and He has brought people to us; what can we do but go and visit!?!

I have been visiting together with my dear wife several homes to read the Bible together. I have to say, I love the small group Bible studies! No formality. No pastor. No leader. No schedule. Only the Bible, the footnotes, and the seeking of the Lord. And it is so sweet!

The Lord leads, we follow. We read, He speaks to us. We ask a question, and through the other members, He answers it or at least points us in the right direction. At the end of it all, you feel you have gained not only “more knowledge of God” but you have gained more God!

Example: Last Night Bible Study

Basic Elements of the Christian Life (volume 3)For example, last night we met with some believers to get into a portion of the truth related to following the sense of life within – not merely behaving according to right or wrong, but according to the sense of life, the feeling of the divine life, in our spirit (set 3 in Basic Elements of Christian Life, which can be ordered online for free here).

The seemingly-impossible things the Bible tells us to do in Matthew 5-7 can be lived out spontaneously only when we live by the divine life. We all were impressed with the fact that we don’t need to do or say things according to the right or wrong (which belong to the tree of knowledge) but according to the life within.

Sometimes we may do something good (like giving some money to a beggar on the street because “we think it’s good to do this”) but the divine life within us is not happy, and so we need to repent for doing this good thing! Wow!

Questions and Answers in an Open Environment

The best thing about meeting in a home is not only the small number and each one functioning, but also the good questions and all-doing-their-best-to-answer the questions. There’s such a good fellowship when the Lord’s seekers come together, enjoy Him in His word, and then fellowship from their experience of Christ!

What about when someone just likes to make you suffer by doing and saying things that he knows will make you feel bad? What if this person continues to do this? What should a Christian do?

Watchman Nee was presenting the example of two brothers who had a plot of land which they watered daily, but the neighbor down the road was stealing the water at night. They continued to water their plot, but eventually after 7-8 days they felt not happy within. After some fellowship with a more experienced brother, they went and FIRST watered the plot of the down-the-road neighbor, and then they watered their own plot. How about that!

In ourselves we can “endure as a Christian the persecution of others”, but in Christ, in the divine life, we can even turn the other cheek! Eventually the neighbor came and said, I want to know your God – He is real! This story sparked such a good fellowship, and our prayer was, Lord, make us those who live by the divine life in our spirit. Grow in us!

In the Homes – God’s Way

We are all busy. We all have a lot of things to do. We all want “our free time”, our space, our own personal relaxing time… But God has a need. And the way He takes today is away from the big crowds, away from the big buildings, and into the homes. Many thousands of homes. Small, sweet, enjoyable, around the table, in the Word, with the believers, with all ages, and under His leading.

Witness Lee once said that this kind of home group meetings should constitute 80% of our church life. We are on our way now, learning to have many such small group meetings, home meetings, with the immediate members of the Body and the Lord’s seeking ones. And He is building up His church through each member functioning in their measure.

In such a small setting every one can function, and no one can “not function” because his portion is vital! I love God’s way, the way of the homes – from house to house, day by day!

Paying Attention to the News that are Really News

Paying Attention to the News that are Really NewsIt used to be that you need to wait until you get the newspaper to find out what’s going on in the world. It used to be that only at set times during the day there were news on radio or TV.

And people were absorbing what the news stations / agencies had to give them. Word by word, they were “the news” to them.

But now it’s all changed. “The news” are coming to you. They are everywhere, you just need to have one of those smartphones. Or be online. Or look around.

The News are Coming to You!

The news are now breaking on twitter and they are on Facebook. You just need to know who to follow on twitter and what Facebook pages you need to be a fan of. You can have alerts on the breaking news, and you can download apps for every news agency in the world.

You can view TV news on your smartphone, PC, laptop, tablet, wherever you are and at any time. They are recorded and put online. And there’s lots and lots of news.

So This is what You Call News?

What are we being fed? What is today considered as being news? Here are some of the kinds of things we find out through the “news websites”:

  • News about wars, revolutions, social unrest, shootings, killings, evil people doing evil things. Are these news? Same things happened since the world began, and every year they happen again and again, only their intensity and frequency differ. The actors, location, nation, and details are different, but it’s the same “news”: things are really bad, no matter where you are.
  • News about politics, parties, corruption, lies, shame, dishonesty, immorality, etc. These are NOT news; rather, they are just like the first category, the “more refined and cultured” expression of the sinful human nature. There is NO way for a politician to be true to his beliefs and ideology, which change as time goes by since he wants to please the masses. He is never moral, not a pattern, but a sinner like the rest of us. Why are you still surprised?
  • Gossip, celebrity news, relationships, and other stuff. Most teenagers and young people feed on this. This one got together with that one, and that one broke up with that one. This one became pregnant, the other one was caught with drugs, another one was shot, etc. There are websites dedicated to this, and it is pleasing to the flesh of some people to just browse them and subscribe. Again, this is NOT news: in 2 years from now they are old, not valuable, and forgotten.
  • Tech News: new gadgets coming out, thinner phones, higher technologies, better operating systems, more apps, more games, etc. There’s google with their search engine, but then there’s the social networks like Facebook and Twitter, which have no value except a lot of users, so google makes google+ to match them! There are websites dedicated to “reviewing the gadgets” and “talking about tech news”. Newer technologies and newer phones coming out, and the one you buy as NEW today is old in a month. This is NOT news: it’s just “hot air”, people speaking of things which have NO value. In 2 months what someone writes today has NO value, and even the principles of reviewing and writing change.
  • News about other topics: nature, climate change, cars, books, culture, cooking, people, health, wedding, marriage, shopping, children, young people, parents, gaming, photography, programming, spirituality, atheism, science, the universe, etc. They may present certain information which seem so real and true, and in a few years “science discovers a new thing” which annuls all the previous things. We’re being cheated. New things make the old obsolete. New photographers or coders make the previous ones look old and infantile. Something’s wrong!
  • News Analysis: there are some websites that do great reviews and analysis of the REAL news, having some deep insights of why wars and insurrections happen (see stratfor.com), etc. You read one article there and you think you know what’s happening, and why the terrorists do what they do, etc. But then another article comes out, with a longer review, and you realize: I’m wasting my time reading stuff that will change tomorrow anyways, and all they do is expose man’s evil nature in its intricacies…

These are not all the news out there – whatever your preference is, there’s “news” about that. The question still remains: are these really news? They are new for a moment, an instance, and then they are old news, something that occupies your memory (if you allow them to reside there). Then another piece of news come, and… so on.

All these so-called news are merely hot air. The more they bombard us and try to get us, the more we are filled with dung flies which make us itchy, nervous, and hungry for things which are not real.

What is Really News?

Video news. Text news. Picture news. Breaking news. World news. National news. Local news. Friends news feed. Family news. Animal news. Nature news. Climate news. Your personal news.Video news. Text news. Picture news. Breaking news. World news. National news. Local news. Friends news feed. Family news. Animal news. Nature news. Climate news. Your personal news.

What is news? What is really something that can feed you, constitute you, make you better, inform you, take you on, and make you a human being that is properly informed of what is really going on?

Believe me, I check the so-called news daily, and the above categories are just some of a “system of news” designed to get your attention, pester you, make you thirst for them, and never be satisfied but rather be drugged and be unreal, not genuine. What really is news? What is GOING ON today in this world?

God’s Move today is the Real News!

Behind the human history – which is outwardly, in your face, hitting you everywhere and trying to get into you without asking for your permission or warning you of its side-effects – there is another history. God is operating behind the scenes. The real news today is that God is moving. The real news is the Good News: God coming into man to be one with man and move in man to gain the whole earth for God!

I think I am seeing something about this. No matter the age, the country, the people, the culture, the gender, or the situation, there is one thing that is constant: God has an economy, and He is moving toward a goal, to CLOSE THIS AGE. He wants to end the age of grace, the age of mystery, and bring in the age of the kingdom.

Paul saw this; Peter saw this; thousands of seeking believers see this, and all genuine Christians have a yearning inside, Come, Lord Jesus! This is the news – God’s need for overcomers who become the dispensational instrument to terminate this age and bring in the kingdom age.

God is moving, steadily, in every country, among all kinds of people, and He is gaining something real and solid in the hearts of men. God’s move is not in “the news” today, but that’s what is really going on.

He is moving in Asia, Africa, North America, South America, Antarctica, Europe, and Australia. He is moving especially in Europe; He is doing something secret yet solid in the Arab countries, and He will regain a shining lampstand in Jerusalem. And the Lord Jesus will return. Do you SEE this?

Pay Attention to the News that are Really News!

What shall we say when we have so many thousands of witnesses testifying to us: go on, gain Christ, grow in life, and become an overcomer, to end this age!?! When we see God’s move, His desire, His working in and through human history…. and we see the locusts eating people up, devouring man’s flesh, crawling everywhere, at any time, and in any space – we just need to give ourselves to the Lord to be one spirit with Him in His move today!

Don’t miss God’s move! In Abraham’s age there was only he that God moved through. In every age God has only one move, and today we are in His ultimate move, to bring in the age of the kingdom. Don’t miss it. Be connected to the news that are really news, and make sure you know what’s really going on.

Don’t be drugged, preoccupied, drunken with what the world has to offer, or stupefied with the “news” today. Exercise your spirit, be one spirit with the Lord, stay in the coordination with the other saints in the church life, and move one with God’s move!

Don’t just “watch the news” or “read the news”, but “make the news” by praying at the incense altar one with Christ for the great wheel of God’s economy to move on earth! Grow in life by daily enjoying Christ, ask the Lord to produce you as an overcomer, and firmly believe that He will do it!

It is through a small group of people that God will change this age. Oh, may we be among those who know their God and rise up to take action! May we be those who are consecrated to Him for His move today! May we be those continually de-toxified from what the ruler of this world infuses in the system of the world today, and be fully one with God to Make the News that are Really News: God’s Move on Earth today!

How is Your Bible Reading? Did You Read the Bible Today?

How is Your Bible Reading? Did You Read the Bible Today? What if this is the way we greet one another when we come together, when we randomly meet on the street, or when we call one another?

Instead of, Hi, How are You? (to which I never know what to answer, because: how am I right now? Do you REALLY wanna know what’s going on in my life, or you’re just “politely” asking?) why not ask one another,

How is your Bible Reading? What did you enjoy in the Word of God today?

Why do We Need to Read the Bible?

Brother Tom at holdingtotruth.com recently wrote a very good article concerning the importance of building up a habit of reading the Bible daily. Why do we need to read the Bible? As Christians, we have the Spirit of the Lord within (1 Cor. 6:17) and we have God’s Word without, and we need to read the Bible every day so that we may know God, His desire, His intention, and His economy.

Watchman Nee said once something like, You cannot love the Lord more than you love His word; the degree to which you love the Lord is the degree to which you love His Word. For us to know God, to grow in life, and to be washed, we need to read the Bible every day.

How Should We Read the Bible?

The Bible is the book of books, and it is divinely inspired by God – even breathed out by God (2 Tim. 3:16). We should not read the Bible just like we read any other book; rather, we need to listen to the Lord’s word in John 5:39-40 by coming to Him when we come to His Word.

We need to find Christ in the Bible, and we need to exercise our spirit when we read the Word so that we may receive not merely letters, doctrines, teachings, or words, but spirit – it is the Spirit who gives life (John 6:63).

How should we read the Bible? Read the Bible by first praying to the Lord, contacting Him, and opening to Him. Read the Bible by contacting its Author, and you will get life.

Simple Ways of Reading the Bible

There are many ways of reading the Bible. What is really important is to have a habit of reading the Bible every day, and to pray to the Lord about it. He said, If you abide in Me and MY WORDS abide in you, ask whatever you will and it shall be done for you (John 15:7) [see a further word on this via agodman.com, the Church must Match Christ in His move].

We need to abide in the Lord by exercising our spirit, and we need to let His word dwell in us richly (Col. 3:16).

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to God (Col. 3:16).

We need to abide in the Lord by exercising our spirit, and we need to let His word dwell in us richly (Col. 3:16). How? There are many ways, and here are a few of these ways that help me:

  1. Read according to a Schedule. Read the Bible once a year. Or read the New Testament once every 3-4 months. Read 1 chapter of the New Testament and one of the Old Testament every day. Just make a schedule! I tried all kinds of schedules, and now what I do is reading one or two chapters every day. I love the book of Ezra (see my sharing here), and now in Nehemiah I love the spirit of this dear one, who loves the Lord and His house!
  2. Pray Over God’s Word. Out of the chapter that you read, take a verse that touches you and pray over it. Don’t just read the black-on-white words on the page – make the logos (written constant word) into rhema (living instant word) that you may be nourished! Every day we need to pray over some of the verses either in the Morning Revival or in our Bible Reading, so that we may drink the guileless milk of the Word (1 Pet. 2:2).
  3. Read the Bible with a Small Group. Once a week we gather together with some students, or in the homes with some believers, and we read one chapter. I love the Gospel of John: we are now in chapter 6 with the students reading, and in chapter 7 in our small group meeting. Get some companions either on the campus or in the homes and read the Bible together, at least once a week!
  4. Read the Bible with Footnotes. I strongly recommend the Recovery Version with the footnotes (see it online here, or get one for free in USA via Bibles for America, in Canada via Bibles for Canada, in Australia via Bibles for Australia, in New Zealand via Bibles for New Zealand, and in UK via Rhema). The footnotes explain the text, bringing out both its proper meaning and the points of life for you to enjoy. Check out, for instance, the note on John 3:16 concerning “whoever believes INTO Me” – to believe into means to enter into an organic union with the Lord. Wow!
  5. Read the Bible Out Loud. Not sure about you, but sometimes you need to read the Bible out loud, to speak it, and to exercise your spirit of faith when you read. When you do this you will experience God’s salvation from a multitude of problems, thoughts, troubles, worries, and all kinds of “bugs from Satan”. In your own time in your own room, or when you walk through the park, read the Bible out loud – experience God’s salvation!
  6. Read the Bible with Companions. I personally recommend lettheword.com, a website where you can create a group or join a group, and you can then check with the others + be reminded by the other members of the group concerning the Bible reading. The hardest thing is not to read the Bible, but to read it consistently and diligently daily. One chapter a day – that’s not too much! – but when it comes down to practicing this, we NEED HELP! We need companions to remind us!
  7. Sing the Word of God. Here’s a video of Psa. 73:23-26 being sung by Stephen. There are so many Scripture songs. Make your own Scripture song – take a verse and put a melody, if you’re musically inclined, and then sing it! Sing the Word of God, and make a joyful noise before Him when you read His Word!

Just Make Sure You Read the Bible Daily!

The above 7 ways are only some of the many ways we can read the Bible. Brother Nee has a few messages on the ways to read the Word of God, and all believers experience daily many ways of reading God’s word to receive life, light, nourishment, and more of the Spirit.

Just make sure you read the Word of God daily! As believers we need to read the Bible to grow in life and to know our God. We need to read the Scriptures that we may know His heart, His intentions, His ways, His desires, and His very Person.

Set a time and a place in your schedule daily where you dedicate yourself to read the Bible! Get a companion to remind you. Pray to the Lord to strengthen you to keep your Bible-reading schedule. Just do it! Even be legal about it – be strict with yourself, don’t allow a day to go by without reading the Bible! And when you meet your fellow believers, greet them with a warm,
